New Literary Prize for Canadian Crime Writers!

Bony Blithe

Bony Blithe

Meet Bony Blithe, Bucky and Bony Pete’s little sister. She’s a reader, loves traditional mysteries, capers and just about any book that makes her smile.  “I like a mystery to make me feel as if I’m curled up in front of the fire on a cold might, drinking hot chocolate and reading out the good bits to my dog,” says she. We didn’t know she had a dog. “Or on a beach,” she adds. “That’s a really good place to read fun mysteries too. And the dogs like it.” So, more than one dog, it seems. Cosy.

Bony Blithe will be on the new Bloody Words Light Mystery Award which will debut in 2012. All us Bloody Board members are very excited about this, and have been plotting and scheming for some time to set it all up. The prize consists of a cheque for $1000 and a whimsical award featuring our girl here, in an ecstasy of amused reading pleasure. It will be a sight to behold, and to hold as well, we imagine.

So all you authors and publishers out there, hie thee on over to the official website:

And tell the world! Well, the world of Canadian writers anyway. We are open to submission right now! Hooray!
